We frequently hear about the cost of acquiring a new customer versus keeping an existing one. It depends on many factors and is different for many industries. We see 5-7 times quoted quite regularly. What if it was only 2-3 times the cost? Isn’t that enough to up your customer retention game?

 

We offer an AGILE Customer Retention program to get the business growing by building or improving relationships with current clients. One of our first two questions we ask a new client who wants to improve their Sales figures is "what potential is in the CRM or database?". The other question is "what more can you sell to your existing clients?" It's the answers to these two questions that have produced the AGILE Customer Retention service we offer.

 

While we have always had a strong focus on generating new leads for a business we work with, we have never ignored existing customers as a source of new leads. The situation, largely driven by covid in recent times has led to many changes in how we work. We believe that some of the changes will be permanent. While face-to-face meetings are great for developing relationships to win Sales, once the prospect has become a client they can carry less weight. The question becomes, is a Zoom call better than a no call?

 

Using Zoom or other communication tools can keep programs on schedule, rather than delays because flights are cancelled, or country, cities, or states are in lockdown. Will it end? We can hope so, but the covid situation of the last 2 years has so far demonstrated that prevention is better than cure. Who wants to live in quarantine even for a few days.

There are plenty of tools to track and record customers interactions beyond the CRM today. The question is what do you do with the information. Sure you can put out fires, but are you also using the data to grow your business and that of your customer? If your customer can buy more from you, then you both improve the Sales figures.
